The government of Punjab has recently announced a Need Based scholarship program for the Miners’ children. Scholarship Stipend
The scholarship stipend varies; check the list below to check out the stipend:
- Class 9-10: PKR: 18,000/-
- Class 11-12: PKR: 24,000/-
- Class 6 to 8: PKR: 15000/-
- Class 1 to 5: PKR: 1200/-
- BA/BSc/B.Com – Boarder: PKR: 40,000/-
- BA/BSc/B.Com – Day Scholars: PKR: 30,000/-
- Medical/Engineering/Postgraduate/Masters/BS/BBA- Boarder: PKR: 80,000/-
- BS/BBA/Medical/Engineering Postgraduate/Masters/ Day Scholars: PKR: 60,000/-
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Mines Labor Welfare Commissioner scholarship, you need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- A person is qualified as a minor if he works in the mining industry and commercial ordinance 1968, is registered with EOBI and has three years of employment in this field.
- No employment category is required for categories 1,2 & 3
- Those not registered with EOBI must submit an Affidavit attested by the notary public and assistant minor labor welfare commissioner.
- The children of deceased and disabled workers can also apply.
- Students who have already secured a scholarship from the worker’s welfare board are not eligible.
- Retired workers can also apply.
How to Apply?
The application form for the scholarship can be obtained from the Mines Labour Officer’s Offices in Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Sargodha, D.G Khan, and Multan. Candidates must submit the complete application form; incomplete applications won’t be entertained

Documents Required
- CNIC
- Worker social security card
- Attested copy of worker’s firm card / Appointment letter
- Family registration certificate issued by NADRA
- In the case of a disabled, deceased worker, a proof of death grant for disability pension must be submitted.
