Conference Theme

The International Conference in Korea is based on the following theme:

  • The purpose of the Conference is to understand strategies to accomplish Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Target 4.7.
  • The Deepen Knowledge of Global Citizenship Education, the Workshop, allows the young leaders to play a significant role and become part of a broader chain of youth leaders for GCED.
  • During the Workshop, participants will identify specific priority issues around global citizenship and build plans for the future direction of GCED.
  • The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding will organize the 6th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED.
  • Participants will learn about particular areas such as GCED, human rights, and peacebuilding through learning sessions and involve in dialogue and debates on the evolving problems. As part of the Workshop, participants will also make a field visit to examine the role of youth for a more peaceful and sustainable future.

Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for the UNESCO Youth Leadership Workshop 2020, you need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The applicant must be good in English communication.

  • Age: 19 – 28 Years old.
  • Citizens of both the ODA recipient countries and UNESCO.
